Central Intelligence

Get ready for more Kevin Hart reacting to things. I’ve always found that the comedy in most Kevin Hart movies consist of him reacting to different situations. He usually plays a more outrageous role along with a straight man to balance him out. I’m not sure which one he plays in his new movie, “Central Intelligence”, where he plays an accountant who gets lured into the world of espionage when he reunites with an old high school friend named Bob played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who now happens to work for the CIA. Bob used to be bullied in high school so he joined the CIA because he hates bullies. I have to say that they seem to both have great chemistry and the trailer had some funny moments. Unlike other Kevin Hart movies, his character so far didn’t seem too outrageous so this one might be a better one. Central Intelligence releases June 17th, 2016.

Now You See Me 2

I’m not sure whether or not it was necessary but here is a sequel to the 2013 movie Now You See Me. The original film was a little weird for me as I thought it was going one way and then it went in a completely different direction. The magic looked cool and the cast including Jesse Eisenberg (J. Daniel Atlas), Mark Ruffalo (Dylan Rhodes), and Morgan Freeman (Thaddeus Bradley) just to name a few were great. Now they are all back for the sequel along with new additions Daniel Radcliffe (Walter Mabry) and Lizzy Caplan (Lula). Mabry, a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all. Now You See Me 2 releases June 10th, 2016.

Ben-Hur

I don’t think I’ve ever watched the original Ben-Hur. It’s not because it’s on TV all the time, it’s because it’s 6 hours long with commercials. Maybe now is my chance since they are making a remake to the movie and have just released a trailer. If you don’t know the story (I admit that I had to look it up), a falsely accused Jewish nobleman Judah Ben-Hur (Jack Huston) survives years of slavery to take vengeance on his brother Messala (Toby Kebbell), who betrayed him. Morgan Freeman also appears as Ilderim who appears to be a teacher-type. I’m excited for this one because I may finally have a shorter version to watch (at least until it makes it to TV in 5-10 years). Ben-Hur releases August 12th, 2016.
