This is 15 years in the making, a sequel to the comedy classic (in my opinion) Zoolander. I liked it but I had a friend who just loved it and must have watched the original almost 100 times. I will admit that after having watched it a few times, I started liking it more. During the next few years after the original was released, I didn’t think we’d ever get a sequel so I was pleasantly surprised last year when I heard that they were making a sequel. So a trailer for the sequel to Zoolander was released recently and the gang from the original are back, Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson) (most of them as there are a few characters missing). It starts off with someone you might not expect in a position you might never have expected them in. At least it was nice to know his purpose early on. The impression I got from the story early on was pretty funny. Of course Zoolander is in hiding for some reason (maybe I have to watch the original again), and some pop stars are trying to give him a message to try to come back in some capacity to face the evil Mugatu (Will Ferrell). Of course he will otherwise there’d be no movie. They are joined this time by the beautiful and trustworthy Penelope Cruz as a fashion division agent of Interpol. There’s more but instead of giving too much more away, you can watch said trailer below. I’m just secretly hoping for another gas fight. Zoolander 2 will be released February 12th, 2016.
