I believe that every once in awhile, one must listen to their inner fat person. Unfortunately for me, my inner fat person happens to also be my outer fat person. I will admit to occasionally partaking in the unhealthy side of eating but it’s hard when it’s just so delicious. Along those lines, I have been known in the past to incorporate bacon in as many dishes as humanly possible such as wrapping homemade hamburger patties with slices of bacon just to name one. My reasoning for this is that the grease from the bacon prevents the patties from sticking to my George Foreman grill. That’s just simple logic.
Fortunately for me, I live near a McDonald’s restaurant. I’ve talked about that here plenty of times. I eat there pretty regularly, usually 1-2 times a week. I realize that it’s probably too often but the convenience factor cannot be ignored. You know you go there too often when people recognize you for how often you go there. I must have had everything they sell at least once and of course over time you have favorites. Mine happen to be their angus burgers and their CBO.
Fast-food restaurants are the location of many of my pre-movie meals, primarily Wendy’s and A&W. They also have many delicious options available including Baconators and Grandpa burgers just to name a few.
As you can see, I know my way around a lot of fast food but that brings me to my personal bucket list. It has many items but one has some relevance to what I’m talking about here. There are just a few food items I would like to try before I go. I also hope that I don’t go before I finish them.
I had a chance to have this one but I chickened out but I swear that it won’t happen the next time.
The second part of this is that I would like to eat a meal at every American-based fast-food restaurant. By “every restaurant”, I don’t mean every restaurant, just the popular ones. I’m not in a position to argue what is the most popular so I’ll just list them below:
Popeyes Chicken
(done)
In-N-Out Burger
Chick-fil-A
Sonic
Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s
Panda Express
Jack in the Box
Jimmy John’s
Steak ‘n Shake
White Castle
Checkers/Rally’s
Long John Silver’s
And that’s just naming a few because trust me, there’s a lot more. I was actually surprised when I found out there were so many more chains in the US then there are in Canada then I wasn’t surprised when I thought about the difference between our two countries. I think this is a very achievable goal and I hope I will stay alive through it.
This will take a while but I’m sure it will be worth it. For updates and much more, don’t forget to follow me on Twitter and like me on Facebook.
