Scary Camp (Summer Camp Trailer)

I was fortunate (or maybe unfortunate) enough not to ever go to a summer camp. I’ve never been known to be the outdoorsy type. I’ve personally never been a fan of outside as I’ve always found it to be scary. Luckily I will get to live vicariously though the people in this movie, “Summer Camp”. It is a horror movie but aren’t all summer camps horror movies. Amirite? This one involves four Americans counselors at at a European summer camp who must deal with the outbreak of a rage-inducing plague among the children they are supervising. What was kind of weird to me was that, based on only the trailer so far, in a movie about a summer camp, there doesn’t appear to be any kids. So far this “virus” seems to have only affected the adults, causing them to turn on each other to varying horrific results. Summer Camp releases March 18th, 2016.

10 Cloverfield Lane Final TV Spot

10 Cloverfield Lane is coming out this Friday. I assure you that I will see it and have a review done by then but this isn’t about that. The film was announced rather recently which may have come as a surprise to some. From the original trailer which you can see here, some of you may not know what happened which caused the three people from the trailer to be in that bunker in the first place. This TV spot for the movie may shed some light on that. I will say that I haven’t seen Cloverfield but from what I’ve read and heard, that film has no connection to this other than both of them being in the same universe. I’m definitely excited for it but luckily we all don’t have to wait much longer to see it as again it will be released this Friday, March 11th.

I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost (Ghostbusters International Trailer)

The first trailer for the new, all-female Ghostbusters movie was released less than a week ago with a lot of fanfare, some good and some not so good. I personally would still like to see a sequel to the original movies but I also don’t have a problem with the idea of this movie or the first trailer. It’s still a little hard to tell what the movie would be like based on what I’ve seen so far but I’m reserving judgement until I actually see it. Now an international trailer has been released which is very similar to the last trailer with maybe a few new scenes but this one features more of Chris Hemsworth as the ghostbusters’ new secretary Kevin. He created a pretty interesting dynamic and I was also surprised by the fact that he didn’t seem to have an accent. As with the previous trailer, I didn’t think the ghosts looked too amazing but that’s not the point. Ghostbusters releases July 15th, 2016.

Daddy’s Home Deleted Scene

I thought Daddy’s Home was a great movie when it was released last Christmas. You can read my review of it here. It was very funny without being stupid and Will Ferrell’s and Mark Wahlberg’s chemistry made it very watchable. To me this is their second best collaboration after “The Other Guys”. While the movie had plenty of funny moments, there were still some that we did not get too see in the original film. In this deleted scene, Brad Whitaker (Ferrell) is coaching his stepson’s basketball team with less than ideal results according to his father Dusty Mayron (Wahlberg). Dusty then decides to give the kids some coaching of his own. If you would like to see another deleted scene about how Dusty met his new wife Karen, click here. Daddy’s Home is now available digitally and will be released on Blu-ray and DVD March 22, 2016.
