I’ve been a big fan of The Lonely Island ever since their digital shorts on Saturday Night Live. They, or their members have been part of several movies which I haven’t seen but ever since I heard about their latest movie “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping” (formerly Conner4Real), I got excited. When his new album fails to sell records, pop/rap superstar Conner4Real (Samberg) goes into a major tailspin and watches his celebrity high life begin to collapse. He’ll try anything to bounce back, anything except reuniting with his old rap group The Style Boyz. The trailer looks pretty funny and appears to be a mockumentary type of film with some R-rated humor and be full of 90s boy band nostalgia. Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping releases June 3rd, 2016.
