With all these movies based on books coming out all of a sudden, I’ve realized I have to read more otherwise I might be lost. Just like all good intentions, I end up just procrastinating about it and then end up not doing it. Enough about me, here is a trailer for a new movie based on a book, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”. I don’t really know anything so I’ll just say that the synopsis of the film is: When Jake (Asa Butterfield) discovers clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds Miss Peregrine’s (Eva Green) Home for Peculiar Children. But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers. Ignorance or not, this does look interesting to me. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children releases September 30th, 2016.

Intrigued by the concept but unsure about this one. Tim Burton seems like the right fit as director but the trailer didn’t grab me as much as I thought it would after reading your intro. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though!

It kind of reminded me of X-Men. Burton seems like the best choice as he can explore all of the peculiarities.
