Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
If you would like to read my thoughts on the first trailer, click here. Another movie based on a series of books. The fact that Tim Burton is directing this definitely makes it more interesting than most. While the first trailer was more about the home and its residents, this one is mostly the same as the first but it also offers a little more of the outside world and the movie’s main villain, Samuel L. Jackson’s Barron. I’m interested in exploring this world and seeing what it has to offer. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children releases September 30th, 2016.
The Legend of Tarzan
If you would like to read my thoughts on any of the previous trailers, click here. Will the argument could be made that not much happened in any of the other trailers, there’s definitely a lot going on here. Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd, who plays Tarzan, actually says something here. It’s not much but it’s a good start. Like I said, there’s a lot going on here action-wise with a lot of animals going crazy with Tarzan right in the middle of things, kind of cementing him as part of the animals. While it doesn’t give anything away plot-wise, it was still cool to see. The Legend of Tarzan releases next Friday, July 1st, 2016.
War on Everyone (NSFW)
I’ll admit that I never heard of this until a red band trailer popped up recently. Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd is back in another movie. While we were graced earlier this year by some Nice Guys, we now have two not very nice guys. Two corrupt cops, Terry (SkarsgÃ¥rd) and Bob (Michael Peña), in New Mexico set out to blackmail and frame every criminal unfortunate enough to cross their path. Things take a sinister turn, however, when they try to intimidate someone who is more dangerous than they are. Or is he? This doesn’t really give much away story-wise and this combination is interesting to say the least but it does look like it can be funny. The movie has made a few festivals but does not have a North American release date (so far). It will be released in the UK on September 30th, 2016.
