Trailer Park

Morgan

If you would like to read my thoughts on the first trailer, click here. While the first teaser trailer was a little vague as to what Morgan really was, this one is a lot clearer. I don’t want to give too much away here but my initial Ex Machina vibes were correct but this film appears to take this more to when everything goes wrong. There’s definitely a lot of suspense here as Morgan has had quite a tumultuous life and things appear to get worse once a consultant (Kate Mara) is brought in to determine whether or not to terminate Morgan’s life. This one looks promising with it’s formidable cast and being Ridley Scott’s brother Luke’s directorial debut. Morgan releases September 2nd, 2016

Star Trek Beyond

If you would like to read my thoughts on any of the previous trailers, click here. I’ll just start off by saying that I don’t really like the song in this. Now there really isn’t anything new in this trailer as we’ve all seen bits and pieces of it elsewhere but this one seems to take these bits and pieces from elsewhere and sets them to the music being a song called “Sledgehammer” by Rihanna (I prefer the Peter Gabriel version myself). Seeing it again is just another reminder that we are less than a month away of it’s release on July 22nd, 2016.

The 9th Life of Louis Drax

I haven’t seen a trailer go in so many directions in a long time. People who have read the book in which this is based will probably know this better than I will. This one is about a psychologist named Dr. Allan Pascal (Jamie Dornan) who begins working with a young boy who has suffered a near-fatal fall finds himself drawn into a mystery that tests the boundaries of fantasy and reality. The multiple directions involve this convoluted mystery behind the boy’s fall taking Pascal to around on this weird adventure. Fifty Shades of Grey wasn’t that great of a movie but I’m still a Jamie Dornan fan so I’ll give this one a look just in case it all manages to work out on screen. The 9th Life of Louis Drax releases September 2nd, 2016.
