Imperium
Daniel Radcliffe has definitely been trying to distance himself from Harry Potter lately and he continues here, being almost unrecognizable. I didn’t realize it was him until late into the trailer. Here he plays Nate Foster, a young, idealistic FBI agent, who goes undercover to take down a radical right-wing terrorist group. This wasn’t exactly a movie which I would have guessed he’d be in but this is probably why he chose to be in it in the first place. This has my curiosity but it could really go either way at this point. Imperium releases August 19th, 2016
Batman: The Killing Joke
If you would like to watch a sneak peek of the movie, click here. I have to admit that I haven’t seen too many of the series of animated Batman movies but this one kind of fascinates me. It started when I posted the sneak peek a few months ago. I’ve been a big fan of Mark Hamill’s Joker which is one of the best Jokers in recent memory. The big selling point here has to be the movie’s R-rating. I’ve never heard of an R-rated animated superhero movie before and I am curious to see what that would entail. Batman: The Killing Joke releases July 26th, 2016.
The Intervention
This looks like a fun little movie and is about four couples who go on a weekend getaway which takes a sharp turn when one of the couples discovers the entire trip was orchestrated to host an intervention on their marriage. This has a great cast featuring Cobie Smulders, Natasha Lyonne, and Clea Duvall. What is interesting about this is that this is the directorial debut of Duvall who also wrote the script. This looks to be very funny and touching and the chemistry between the cast looks great. This movie either lives or dies on this. The Intervention releases August 26th, 2016.

I’m definitely in for Radcliffe playing against type. Not sure how it’ll go but I’m curious to find out.
