Coming off of a great movie like Whiplash, director Damian Chazelle’s next project was sure to get a lot of attention and it is definitely warranted. While the first teaser trailer didn’t offer much, other than showing things from Sebastian’s (Ryan Gosling) perspective, this new teaser trailer kind of shows things from Mia’s (Emma Stone) perspective. While the first teaser had Gosling seemingly singing and playing the piano which was surprisingly good, this one featured Stone seemingly singing which was quite surprisingly good as well. Romantic musicals may not the most interesting in general but the pairing of Gosling and Stone and the cinematography, at least from the teasers, is a good sign. La La Land releases December 16th, 2016.

I love your post. I generally like romantic films, but even for me this story seems over-sentimental. I am sure it will be touching, and full of beautiful shots, but I am not too enthusiastic about it, maybe because this duo will be just too nice to create an exciting drama, and too alike in their personalities to create a tense romance..They would have made for a nice brother and sister, though.
