The Emoji Movie Teaser Trailer

Yes, this is a thing. This did not come as much of a surprise since I already knew about it but here it now is, at least in trailer form. An animated movie about emojis, I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering where a movie like this could all go and the trailer doesn’t offer any hints as to that direction. Sure emojis take on their personalities but how long until that grows old. The most unsettling thing about it is that, at least based on the first trailer, appears to be shot vertically which can obviously be very limiting when on a big screen. Maybe this will change as more is revealed but it has not been a promising start so far. The Emoji Movie releases August 4th, 2017.
