Star Wars: The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer #1

Keith NoakesApril 14, 2017n/a2 min

It’s finally here, the trailer for one of the most, if not the most, anticipated movies of the year, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. There has been rampant speculation about this movie on the internet (because it’s the internet) about what this movie would entail but seeing that this is a teaser trailer, there wasn’t much given away. With the last movie ending with Rey finally meeting Luke Skywalker on that far-away planet, we were going to see what was going to happen next and it looks like Luke is going to train Rey in the ways of the force. She’s going to need it for what is to come. I can’t wait to see more about this movie in the coming months but I also can wait because what made the last movie so great was that we knew next to nothing coming in. I don’t need to tell you this but Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases December 15th, 2017.

I loved the darker Empire-like tone here. What a compelling and provocative teaser!

Luke’s words were rather ominous. I suppose he’s given up faith in the idea of a Jedi. He must doubt his own ‘purity’ at this point. Also, Re: Lots of grey in the trailer (I’m thinking this is a tonal reflection). I’m so excited.

Most unexpected cool moment was the white parched desert with red soil underneath the cracked surface. When those vehicles skimmed over it and red dust clouds plumed… wow. Nerdy awesome! 🙂

I can’t wait for more Star Wars teasing!

Maybe he was just tired of the old ways of the Jedi and wanted to start something new with Rey.

Yes! I love getting nerdy with theories. Luke could also mean the concept of ‘Jedi’ is obsolete. There must be a balance of the Force – light and dark. Plus, he trained Kylo – who killed the rest of the trainees – and must have given up ‘hope’ on the Chose One. The Force is too powerful and he doesn’t think anyone can handle it without corruption (like his father and maybe himself… dun dun duuuuunnnn). Rey could be the shining ray of hope that changes his stubborn mind and he trains her Yoda style 🙂 I can’t wait to see what the actual answers are hehehe. Christmas feels too far, far away.
