Yes, this is another movie revolved around the Boston Marathon bombing but unlike Patriots Day, this one deals with the true story of a survivor of the bombing, a man named Jeff Bauman (Jake Gyllenhaal). He survived but in the process, lost both his legs. This is a story about Bauman getting over the trauma of the bombing while learning to overcome the loss of his legs. This looks to be a very emotional story led by Gyllenhaal who delivers a powerhouse performance. After a criminally overlooked role in Nightcrawler, this should put him back in the conversation. It’s also nice to see Tatiana Maslany in a big movie since she is a great actress. Stronger releases September 22nd, 2017.
