Running Time: 43 minutes

Tonight’s episode revolved around Iris and Barry’s respective bachelorette/bachelor parties. Joining in for the pre-wedding festivities, was Arrow’s Felicity! It wouldn’t be a Flash episode without its villainous drama as Caitlin was beckoned by Amunet (Katee Sackhoff) to come see her during Iris’ party causing her to transform into Killer Frost.

Meanwhile, Dibny takes the boys to a strip club to spice up Barry’s party. Since Barry is unable to get drunk, Cisco has created a concoction that allows him to feel the buzz. Things get awkward when the boys realize one of the strippers is Cecile’s daughter, Joanie (Riley Jade) who, they learn, is working there on a project pertaining to feminism. It is interesting to see Dibny be a part of the S.T.A.R Labs’ dynamic. It is yet to be seen if he truly fits in, but for now seems to be an odd addition to the group.

Unable to reach the boys, Iris, and the girls venture out to save Caitlin AKA now Killer Frost. They find themselves in a club where Killer Frost is meeting with Amunet to end things with her. She comes across one of the twelve meta-humans, aka The Weeper, from the bus accident whose tears provide a “love drug effect” to those who sniff it. As much as she tries to break things off with Amunet, she finds that it will be easier said than done.

Watching Caitlin teeter back and forth between Killer Frost has become a bit of a repetitive storyline and one that needs to be dealt with, one way or the other. However, it was refreshing to see the girls at the frontline kicking ass as they dealt with Killer Frost and her issues with Amunet. #Feminism

The episode was sprinkled with its humorous moments as a hilarious, drunk Barry finally had a night of normalcy. Or so we think until pandemonium breaks out at the strip club when Dibny steals from one of the strippers resulting in a fist fight and all of them ending up in jail.

The Flash has introduced a new villain/character every episode thus far this season, and while that has been entertaining it has taken away from the villain behind it all, The Thinker. This episode focused on Amunet, and while she seems like an interesting addition to the storyline, there wasn’t much to be taken away from her. She didn’t quite bring the dramatic angle Flash villains normally do. As the season progresses, here’s to hoping that this storyline fizzles out and we get to see more intimidating, exciting villains or at the very least, The Thinker who made an appearance in the final moments of tonight’s episode.

As the episode came to an end, the girls came together to bring down Amunet and free The Weeper from her control. However, it seems it is not the last we will see of her as she promises to return to bring down Killer Frost.

The episode ended on a bittersweet moment between Caitlin and Iris when Iris asks her to be the maid of honor for the wedding. Even with a bit of a mundane episode, the prospect of the wedding is super exciting because it means the epic crossover between all four DC shows is almost here!

Overall, the episode tonight was mediocre, with its shining moments in between. It was refreshing to see the ladies of Team Flash get front and center of all the action, something that needs to happen more in this show. As the season continues, we hope that we see more of The Thinker and what his end-goal is with all these bus meta-humans. Taking too long to get to the point may cause the viewers to lose interest so here’s to hoping that changes quick!

Score: 6.5/10
