With the weekend coming to an end and a new year just beginning, check out how the North American box office fared. After spending the last few weeks at #1, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has been unseeded by the release of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the only new wide release. It was only inevitable but we all know it’s keeping the spot warm until Fifty Shades Freed and Black Panther both come to theatres within the next 2 weeks. Hostiles performed exceptionally well after its first week of expansion and Hindi film Padmaavat finished in the top 10.
