North American Box Office Report (Weekend of Feb 23rd)

With the weekend coming to an end and a new year just beginning, check out how the North American box office fared. As expected, Black Panther continues to dominate this weekend’s box office which doesn’t look to end anytime soon, becoming the 4th film to surpass $100 million in its second week. Its worldwide total has surpassed $700 million which is already more than previous MCU entries Ant-Man and Doctor Strange. The sky is the limit so it will be interesting to see how high it goes and if it will surpass the $1 billion mark. Other new releases Game Night, Annihilation, and Every Day finished in 2nd, 4th, and 9th respectively. Hopefully success for Annihilation will make Paramount regret selling its international rights to Netflix.
