While the premise has become less and less amusing, this episode was an improvement over the last two as Barry started to stand up for himself.

The episode started with Sally creating a Facebook profile for Barry. He also found one of his old buddies from the marines. Sally wasn’t attending acting class as her agent got her another audition. Unfortunately for Barry, Fuches was staying around as they were both working for the Chechens. They were given another job where Barry would have to infiltrate a Bolivian stash house.

When meeting with her agent, she learned where they stood. He made a joke about wanting more from their relationship but she just rebuffed him. In class, Barry got a text from his marine buddy. While he performed his Mamet monologue in front of the class, Cousineau didn’t believe any of it. He got Barry to focus on himself more. Barry took that intensity to confront Fuches and tell him that he was done.

Because she rebuffed her agent earlier, Sally was dropped from the audition. While driving to a party, Barry had a fantasy about what he wanted his life to be where Jon Hamm made an appearance. Since Sally’s laptop screen was cracked, Barry got her a new one with the money he got from his last hit. Sally didn’t want it because it was too much.

Fuches showed up to the party uninvited to hand him info on his next job. Barry’s marine buddies also showed up to the party and made a scene. He confronted Sally when he saw her talking to another man but she got defensive.

Meanwhile, the police were still having trouble accessing the camera. Moss got a call from Cousineau, offering bombshell information in exchange for a meeting which became a dinner. Cousineau’s charm eventually got to her. Once they were finally able to access the video but couldn’t make out Barry’s face.

As they were leaving, one of Barry’s marine buddies figured out that there was more going on with him after seeing the info on the hit. He wanted in for whatever he was doing.

Overall, this was a good episode that moved the story forward as Barry’s conflict came back to the forefront as he stood up to himself with Fuches and Cousineau. His relationship with Sally also took a hit as Barry never had a relationship like that before. The best part of the episode, however, was Henry Winkler’s performance as Cousineau. He was a delight here. The serialized story has still be compelling to watch so it will be interesting to see where it all goes.

Score: 8/10
