Running Time: 42mins

The episode started with Barbara getting attacked in her vault. It was just a test that she did not pass. She hadn’t utilized all of her powers yet. Bruce and Selina were driving in his batmobile. Tabitha needed them for something with Barbara. Bruce was needed to help bring Ra’s al Ghul back to life.

The GCPD were investigating a string of robberies. Lee and The Riddler were basking in their success until Penguin and Butch showed up and wanted in. Their offer was rejected. Gordon looked to Lee for help in finding Ed but she proved to be not much help. Meanwhile, The Riddler was having another identity crisis, arguing with Ed. To try and drown out Ed, The Riddler turned to Penguin.

Gordon looked into the robbed banks and learned that all their assets were moved to one location which Lee and The Riddler were set to rob until Lee was betrayed. Or at least that’s what it seemed. The Riddler then betrayed Penguin and Butch. He knew Lee was using him but he had liked the person she had become. When Gordon showed up, Lee distracted him by surrendering so The Riddler could get away.

Ra’s al Ghul was upset about being revived. Getting the head back was going to be easier said than done. He made a visit to Barbara who wanted to do her own thing instead of building the League of Shadows as he intended. Ra’s al Ghul took on her army while she escaped to Tabitha, Selina, and Bruce. Now they had to get the ceremonial knife back to kill Ra’s al Ghul again.

After stealing the knife, Barbara took it. After hearing Barbara’s plan, Selina left. Ra’s al Ghul showed up with his men. She tried to kill him with the knife but it didnt work. Their fight was all Barbara needed to master the demon’s head. Instead of giving up the head. Ra’s killed Tabitha. Then she went back in time and gave Ra’s back the demon’s head. He then broke the knife before disappearing. Despite losing the demon’s head, her army was still dedicated to her.

While planning what to do next, Ra’s al Ghul made a visit to Bruce and Selina to warn them about the future and an event that would lead to Bruce’s transformation into who he will become.

Overall, this was a decent episode that saw the return of Ra’s al Ghul, a character that has been wasted this season. This episode didn’t advance the plot this season for the most part but it still had some fun moments with Lee and The Riddler getting closer before Lee is arrested by Gordon and a few somewhat exciting fight scenes. This season has still been on a roll down the stretch so hopefully it can still finish strong, perhaps with the event that Ra’s al Ghul foreshadowed. It wouldn’t be new but maybe they’ll do it differently.

Score: 7.5/10
