Instead of a few different posts, here’s all the information about writing for the site in one simple page.
*All positions are unpaid and prospective writers can contribute to one or more of the sections below*
Writers will scour the internet or social media for the latest movie or TV news which may or may not include rewriting articles (similar to screenrant.com). Expect to write a minimum of a few short articles (under 500 words or longer if necessary) on a weekly basis.
Writers can pitch and/or will be assigned articles, opinion pieces, and/or list features that are movie or TV based.
Writers will review movies in theaters and also have the opportunity to attend advance movie screenings with the potential of more as the site keeps growing (if residing in major Canadian cities).
Note: We currently have no need for writers from the Toronto area.
Writers will write episode (under 1000 words) and season (1000-1500 words) reviews for network, cable, or streaming scripted or unscripted series. Writers must submit episode reviews within 24 hours of their initial east coast airing and season reviews within 2 weeks of the initial season finale airing.
Posts will be seen by 20,000+ monthly site viewers from 180+ countries as well as our 8,000+ followers over social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). This can be a great stepping stone to further success as writers will be provided with a byline so they can promote their own social media or personal websites.
If interested, please fill out the form below and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We look forward to hearing from you.
