Synopsis: Tyrone is faced with a hard decision when presented with an opportunity to clear his name; Tandy lets her anger get the best of her as she becomes frustrated with a possible dead end to her investigation into the sex trafficking ring. (TVGuide)

By the end of this episode of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger, many will be left wondering what the heck is going to happen to Tandy. But before that, let’s discuss the rest of the episode. After being in the strange dimension, Tandy and Tyrone are not exactly getting along. And it’s understandable why–Tandy brought back Connors with her. But, I think there is a silver lining to this as the episode goes on to explain.

The series, thus far, has been all about Tyrone seeking revenge for his brother’s death. It’s pretty much all we know about the guy from day one. So, seeing Connors again drudges up some frustration and anger. With Tandy involved in her own thing this episode, Tyrone seeks the help of his mother and father by taking Connors to them.

This week, Tandy was all about finding the trafficking group and taking them down once and for all. She recruits Lia, the woman who leads the support group she has been going to with her mom. Basically, Tandy plays it sneakily in two ways, she tries to appeal to Lia while also tricking and then gets Tyrone to show up so she pretends that he is her abusive ex. Not cool, Tandy!

Tyrone isn’t too thrilled when he realizes the game Tandy is playing, and he shouldn’t be. She’s risking his life by meeting out in the open, even though it’s for a good purpose, there could have been a different way.

Eventually, Tandy gets Lia to talk about her ex, who is involved in the trafficking business. Of course, Tandy takes it upon herself to go in without any help to face these guys off. She manages to beat them all down but doesn’t learn anything new at all. She’s in for a surprise when she comes outside and finds Lia standing around acting concerned for Tandy. Then comes the plot twist!

Lia is in on whatever is going on here and uses her position at the support center as a means to find targets. How horrible is that?! It only gets worse when Lia approaches Tandy and TASES her. Tandy’s in some serious trouble now, and Tyrone better sense it ASAP. Who knows what could happen to her!

What made this episode particularly enjoyable was the way it was narrated. Every so often we’d see Tandy talking about a story of the Viper and the Farmer, but something about the scene alerted us that it’s not a real moment. While it may have been a bit strange during the episode, at the very end we see where Tandy is giving this speech. She is with her family and Tyrone’s entire family and congratulating Tyrone. It’s bittersweet because it’s a reality that doesn’t exist anywhere but Tandy’s mind.  Even her father is there, but as a nice, gentle man–not the abusive one that existed in her life.

On a side note, Tyrone attempts to clear his name when Connors tells him that everything he’d need would be in his uncle’s wine cellar tucked away in a bottle. With Brigid’s help, Tyrone reaches the cellar but finds an empty wine bottle with nothing inside. Is Connors lying? A part of me feels like he could be but most of me thinks his time away in the dimension has made him realize his grave mistakes.

Guess we shall wait and see!
