With summer now in full swing, it’s time for more blockbusters to start rolling in though not as many as the loaded month of May. Since Avengers: Endgame appears to be slowing down, June has a few possible candidates to rest at the top of the box office for at least a little while (Dark Phoenix, Men In Black International, The Secret Life of Pets 2). The month also features several Sundance film releases that may also attract some interest (I Am Mother, Late Night, The Tomorrow Man). Welcome to our June 2019 movie preview, where we let you know about the noteworthy releases of the month and follow them up with 5 top picks. Why You Should See It: Beatles fans rejoice! This love letter to the music of the famed group gives you more appreciation of how timeless their music has become. Along with beautiful imagery, an obviously great soundtrack, and a star-making lead performance, this looks to be another hit.

2) I Am Mother – June 7th (Netflix)

Why You Should See It: After making a splash at Sundance earlier this year, this indie Ex Machina esque sci-fi looks to make a splash on Netflix. At first glance, this looks nothing like an indie film so it will be interesting to see if it can pull it off. Don’t watch the trailer though.
