You really thought this was over after Endgame?

It’s Christmas in July, well for geeks and nerds alike. It’s San Diego Comic Con and that means one thing. Comic book news, trailers, casting news, and anything else that will get your certifiably jacked up. Hall H always promises a rock concert and Marvel never disappoints, and this year was no different. The Infinity Saga is officially over and we are now entering Phase 4. Check out our recap of this year’s Marvel Studios Comic-Con panel.

The Eternalsthe eternals

November 6th, 2020. Mark it on your calendars, because The Eternals is already building massive hype with its incredible and diverse cast. Angelia Jolie is now part of the MCU. Everyone’s favorite Stark, Rob, also known as Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kumail Nanjiani are also all suiting up for the MCU. That’s quite the cast. Much like the Guardians, the Eternals is another group of cosmic beings that everyone will surely fall in love with. This isn’t the good old days anymore folks, the MCU is branching out and you better get on board.

The Falcon & The Winter Soldierthe falcon and the winter soldier

Coming in the fall of 2020. The first Disney + series will feature the new Captain America and the Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes. This is such a bold move by Marvel to create these series. The Netflix series didn’t last that long while some were way better than the others. Also to get these stars back and appearing in these series is a feat of its own. Better yet, Daniel Brühl’s Barron Zemo is returning and he’s bringing his purple mask with him!

Shang-Chi: The Legend of The Ten Rings
shang-chi and the legend of the ten rings

Next up in February of 2021, already a packed year full of MCU goodness, is none other than Shang-Chi, the “Master of Kung Fu” himself. Whoever gets the envious task of playing the titular character has got big shoes to fill so we will see if Simu Liu is up to the task. Unlike the Mandarin from Iron Man 3, this film looks to do him justice this time around with Tony Leung cast as the real Mandarin. Also starring in the film is Awkwanfina! This will probably feel like Iron Fist but on some serious steroids. Looking forward to something completely and utterly different out of the MCU.

WandaVisionwandavision

Everyone’s favourite MCU couple is getting their own TV show. That’s right Scarlet Witch and Vision will be getting the rom-com treatment, not really but you never know. Coming at us in the Spring of 2021. Who knows what kind of adventures these two will get up to, maybe this will be the return of Vision in some sense.

Loki

LOKI. IS. BACK! Seemingly everyone’s favorite MCU bad guy is getting his own TV show as well. At this rate Kevin Feige could be called Oprah. Because you get a show, you get a show, you get a show! Once again, so much is hush hush about these shows. We know that his scene in Avengers: Endgame will be the jumping point into this series but who knows when in the time line this will take place. Who cares, we are getting Loki back in our lives and we should all rejoice.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness

May 7th, 2021. “We’re going to make the first scary MCU film” says director Scott Derrickson. Now you have our attention. A scary MCU film? Believe it when you see it, because it’s hard to imagine them going “full R” horror for an MCU film. They will dip their toe into the shallow end just a little bit, but don’t expect something terrifying. That’s just not their MO. Things could be changing in the MCU and this could be the first step, it’s only a matter of time and since Doctor Strange is such a powerful character, he needs one mighty foe in the sequel. Scarlet Witch will be teaming up with Strange in this sequel as WandaVision will be leading into the movie! Nightmare is set to be one of the villains these two will go up against.

What If……?

Jeffrey Wright, cast as The Watcher, is set to voice and narrate whatever this is. The Watcher is a guy who watches over the multiverse and needs to step in from time to time. What If…? marks the MCUs first animated series. Something to do with a boat load of previous characters. So many talented people coming back to reprise their roles:

Perhaps certain villains if they won, or if heroes decided to go another way. Very intriguing to say the least. This has some serious fun potential. Coming at you in the Summer of 2021.

Hawkeye

hawkeye

Two words. Kate Bishop. Dropping in the Fall of 2021. This guy simply doesn’t get enough credit. Hawkeye is one of the all around best characters in the MCU. After everything he’s gone through, this series will surely be an emotional one and hopefully it will lead into a certain someone taking over his place in the Avengers. Just a guess.

Thor: Love and Thunder

thor love and thunder

Please still be fat, please still be fat. Is Thor falling in love? Did he lose his powers? What an intriguing little title. Tessa Thompson will be back, which is great. But, here’s the bombshell. Natalie Portman is returning and she’s going to be the female Thor and that’s not a joke. Jane Foster is back and she is now going to wield the hammer. This is awesome. She’s incredible and they never gave her enough to do. So now, this just makes so much sense. Game over. This is going to be bananas. November 2021 can’t come soon enough.

Black Widow

black widow

She’s finally getting her own movie! It’s about time. Perhaps Scar Jo will be playing every role in the film, that’s a joke people. But this film does have David Harbour and he’s due for a bounce back in the comic book department, after the train wreck that was Hellboy. Florence Pugh and Rachel Weisz are also starring in the film. May 2020 will be the slate for long awaited solo flick for Black Widow! it’s going to take place after the events of Captain America: Civil War and before Avengers: Infinity War, which make sense, because, well, you know…..She will be going head on with Taskmaster.

Blade

Mahershala Ali is playing Blade! That’s right. Blade is back and he’s now being played a two time Oscar winner. Holy moly this is huge news.
