Wait A Minute, Then Who Was That On The Ladder? was clearly the best episode of the series so far as the humor worked more often that not though there is still plenty of room for improvement.

Synopsis: With Judd worried about his reputation, Iris arranges a meet-and-greet with several passengers in his luxury suite. Frustrated by a bridge crew with no answers, Ryan and Billie bond with the engineers below deck. Matt encourages Frank to become the man he always wanted to be. (HBO)

In what was the best episode of the series so far, things finally started to settle down.

Wait A Minute, Then Who Was That On The Ladder? started with Clark trying to pass off his fake crew as real and getting frustrated with the actor crew (they were not smart and Sarah was definitely the MVP). If he was going to pass himself off as a real captain, he would have to learn a few things about space (easier said than done). Meanwhile, Judd tried to save face for the other passengers (Josh Gad is still not funny as Judd). Also, his fake vigil isn’t fooling anyone.

Clark was at ease once he met the actual crew. Meanwhile, he had to rally his fake crew to act in front of the passengers for a PR purposes. So it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that things didn’t go right. The turd shield (it’s a thing) that was supposed to shied the ship from radiation ruptured causing sewage  to launch into space. Claiming himself to be an expert, Clark inadvertently volunteered himself to venture outside the ship to fix the rupture.

In other news, Matt interfered once again with Doug and Mia who continued to be insufferable and also Karen’s husband Frank (Andy Buckley) whose emasculated husband was sort of painful to watch.

The episode ended as Clark was not ready for what he was about to do.
