Other than an interesting dual performance, One More was just one more meaningless episode that served essentially no purpose.

Synopsis: With Maggie’s map, Gabriel and Aaron search for food and supplies to bring back to Alexandria; checking out one more location, they chance upon a stash; faith is broken and optimism is fragmented when they are put to the ultimate test. (IMDb)

Aaron and Gabriel get their own adventure in an episode that meant essentially nothing and is sure to lead viewers to wonder why this season was extended in the first place.

One More starts with Aaron and Gabriel surrounded by walkers before they dealt with them handily. They were looking for food and supplies (they had a map with possible locations thanks to Maggie) for several weeks. It was an arduous process that wasn’t getting them much other than the bodies of people who tried to survive but didn’t. Despite their lack of success, Gabriel was still hopeful until they lost their map. Nevertheless, they persisted which may have paid off.

Aaron and Gabriel found a warehouse on their way back where Aaron found himself in an embarrassing situation. After dinner, drinking expensive whiskey, and poker, they had some deep conversations and reminisced as Gabriel talked about his past and his beginning with the church and they led to where he was now. Aaron thought they should go back to what felt right and helping people, him finding people and Gabriel preaching again.

Staying at the warehouse overnight, Gabriel woke up to find Aaron gone before finding another man named Mays (Robert Patrick). The warehouse was his place and his rifle was very loaded. Gabriel’s beliefs were challenged though he remained steadfast. Mays forced Aaron and Gabriel to play an anticlimactic game of russian roulette as a means to prove a point (he’s had much different life experience than they had). This was essentially their first chance to help someone again but when it looked like the situation was diffused, Gabriel killed Mays.

Looking for Mays’ hiding spot, Aaron and Gabriel found his identical twin brother who when freed, just killed himself. At least they found supplies too. They then decided to look in one more place. Hopefully the episode title implies that this will be the one more episode until something actually happens.
