Documentaries teaches us very valuable lessons and offer different perspectives. End of The Line: The Woman of Standing Rock is a documentary that highlights the efforts of the Indigenous women of Standing Rock to stop the oil pipeline that threatened their livelihoods. Using footage of the standoffs and interviews with the parties involved and intimate footage of their lives, it t provided an in depth perspective on what had happened and what still needs to be done. It was very difficult to not associate what was happening in this film and with the many standoffs between everyday citizens and the police of the last few years. Tracking the start of the conflict back in 2016, the film was both haunting and unforgettable.

When it comes to End of The Line: The Woman of Standing Rock, one of the first things viewers will notice is the bulldozers tearing the ground up to get it ready for the installation of pipe. The film does a great job of conveying the extent of the damage. It is not just grass and dirt being ripped up but years of heritage and medicine that could be used. Not only that, family members are buried within these lands. The interviews offer a compelling story of how this has impacted them on a personal level. The intimate footage gives viewers a powerful window into these people’s fight for what is right. Though their battle has gone on for a long time, it is far from over and there are many ways we can help. This film will not only opened viewers eyes to this important story, it will inspire them to help out.

In the end, End of The Line: The Woman of Standing Rock is a film highly worth checking out. Those looking to support the cause can visit endofthelinefilm.com.
