Scarlett Johansson and Others Board Wes Anderson’s Next Movie

Following her lawsuit with Disney that has taken Hollywood by storm in the past couple of weeks, Scarlett Johansson has booked her next project. She has joined Wes Anderson’s next movie, marking her second collaboration with the director, after 2018’s Isle of Dogs. Shortly after, it was announced that Bryan Cranston, Hope Davis, Jeffrey Wright, and Liev Schreiber signed on to the project. They join a cast that includes Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, and Rupert Friend, as well as Anderson’s frequent collaborators, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Adrian Brody, and Jason Schwartzman.

Wes Anderson’s untitled film currently has no synopsis or release date but is currently filming in Spain.


Hotel Transylvania 4 to Skip Theatres, release on Amazon Prime Video

Following multiple delays due to COVID-19, Hotel Transylvania 4 will finally be released, albeit, not as originally expected. Sony Pictures Animation has sold the distribution rights to Amazon for $100 million, meaning that it will release on Amazon Prime video exclusively (excluding China and Turkey). A release has yet to be announced.

Hotel Transylvania 4 brings back Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, David Spade, Fran Drescher, & Molly Shannon, and adds Brain Hull and Brad Abrell to the cast.


Universal Sets A Release Date for the tenth Fast & Furious Movie

After F9 became one of the most financially successful movies during the COVID-19 pandemic, Universal Pictures has announced the next entry in the Fast & Furious franchise. The currently untitled tenth movie is scheduled for release on April 7, 2023.

While not much is known about the story or who will be returning, director Justin Lin, who previously directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), Fast & Furious (2009), Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013), and F9 (2021) will be reuniting, as well as series star and producer, Vin Diesel.


First-Looks of Dominic West & Elizabeth Debicki as Prince Charles & Princess Diana Revealed

Netflix has released first-look images of Dominic West as Prince Charles, as well as Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana in the upcoming fifth season of The Crown. The two will play their respected roles throughout seasons 5 and 6 of The Crown, which will also be its last.

The fifth season of The Crown is currently filming and is aiming for a 2022 release on Netflix. West and Debicki join a cast that includes Imelda Staunton (Queen Elizabeth), Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), and Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret).


Adventure Time spin-off, Fionna and Cake, to premiere on HBO Max

After five years, the Adventure Time franchise is coming back, this time, in the form of a spin-off series. HBO Max has ordered ten episodes based on Fionna and Jake, who recurred in the original series, and are gender-swapped versions of the protagonists of the original series, Jake and Finn.

While a premiere date and cast have not been confirmed, Adam Muto, who executive-produced Adventure Time, will act as showrunner.


Anthony Mackie to Star in Captain America 4

After months of speculation, Anthony Mackie has officially signed to star in the fourth Captain America movie. The news comes shortly after the Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Solider ended its first season with Sam Wilson (Mackie) taking up the famous shield, officially earning the title of Captain America.

No other cast members were announced in addition to Mackie, but Malcolm Spellman, who served as the showrunner for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, will co-write the movie with Dalan Musson.
