The focus on Susie continues in this latest episode as she continues her path forward and moving on from Jackie. But both she and Midge took charge in their own ways. The latter’s role as an emcee has been a delight thus far as she shares some of that female empowerment with the gentleman’s club dancers while also trying to spruce up the overall production. Despite everything else going on, she kept dating albeit unsuccessfully. What about Susie’s love life? Her life was Midge though that didn’t stop her from prying. She had been spending a long time in the Weisman household. Looking for a place to live, Frank and Nicky found her a shady-looking place with a view to live and have her office to house her growing operation.
Not knowing anything about her love life, Midge took Susie to a lesbian bar which upset her. However, Joel’s love life was still at an impasse as Midge showed up at his club which complicated things with him and Mei.
Abe and Asher went about resolving their issues but the latter’s past relationship with Rose was a major point of contention. They dated between Abe and Rose’s stints together though he somehow got insensitive and uncomfortable about it which also complicated things for the three of them.
The Sophie Lennon problem persisted as she showed up to Susie’s new office asking for help to book a game show. Hoping to get rid of her once and for all, Susie agreed though whether or not that will actually happen remains to be seen.
Having refined the club’s act, Midge still found a way to walk off stage and fall into the musician pit. That is definitely one way to go out.
