Destroyer of Worlds was a messy penultimate episode which awkwardly brings all the characters back together before the end.

After spending a few successful episodes with Pam and Tommy, it’s time to catch up with the other characters but this arguably wasn’t done in the most seamless of ways, making for a mess. While it did have its moments, it didn’t really do much as a penultimate episode. Being based on a true story, the end of this story is technically out there but this episode didn’t leave much as to a direction where it could all go. However, the key may be Seattle. Suffice it to say that the finale will have some big shoes to fill.

But before then, the third partner in Rand and Miltie’s operation, a mobster named Louis ‘Butchie’ Peraino (Andrew Dice Clay) wanted his money though with Miltie gone and avoiding Rand, he was the one who got squeezed in more ways than one as he struggled to keep things going. Rand clearly didn’t have money which forced him to be creative when it came to propositioning Tommy to meet him and deliver the money he owed Rand. That did not go the way he thought as Tommy found a way to embarrass and humiliate him once again. Beating up another man for the money they owed Peraino didn’t go well either.

Coming clean to his porn star ex-wife Erica (Taylor Schilling), Rand fumbled once again for not getting releases from Pam and Tommy. He took out that frustration on the ilusive man who he tried to recover money from.

For Pamela, it was business as usual as she was put under the microscope once again as all eyes were on her as she went about promoting her latest movie, Barbwire, and keeping Tommy in check while the cloud of the sex tape and the Penthouse lawsuit looming over them. She defended herself against Jay Leno on the Tonight Show in a sobering way. The hits kept coming as they got news that their lawsuit against Penthouse was thrown out which Pamela took especially personally. To her, it was a women’s rights issue over the property of their own bodies for which she lost if the magazine were to publish stills of her from the sex tape. And to make it worse, Barbwire became a laughing stock.

Having had enough, Pamela was tired just as most would be after dealing with what she had to deal with as she and Tommy headed home.

Perhaps Seattle and the webcam operation is Rand’s way out? Pam and Tommy will be fine but will they still be together?
