Sometimes it can be quite hard to find something to stream on Netflix? Daredevil and other popular Netflix Marvel originals have recently left the platform but there is still way more to stream. Here’s our picks for 5 series worth checking out, including Netflix originals and others.

Breaking Bad

It’s rare to find someone who has at least not heard of Breaking Bad, one of the greatest series of the last decade. Breaking Bad is a multi-award winning series that follows Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who finds out that he has cancer therefore joins the meth making business to pay for his treatment as well make a future for his family. Things get quite interesting from there. What’s so great about the series is that despite being exaggerated, it still feels real. This is a journey where viewers see a man evolve from a scared and caring man to a cold blooded meth kingpin. This series is a must watch and one of those rare ones that just gets better every season and is capped off by a perfect ending.


Dark

There’s been thousands of sci-fi films and series in the last two decades, however, one that is as complex and intriguing as this one is rare. Dark is a German Netflix original that takes place in the aftermath of a child’s disappearance and follows characters from the fictional German town of Winden on their search for the truth. They follow connections between four estranged families to unravel a sinister time travel conspiracy which spans several generations. This series has a total of 3 seasons consisting of 26 episodes and encompasses an unpredictable, complex, and constantly tense tone. What makes it even better are its well-written and great performances. For any fan of the genre, it’s a must watch.


Better Call Saul

Better Call Saul is a spinoff from Breaking Bad that follows one of the most popular characters from the show, Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) that explores his past. The series is popular for its dark humor, iconic characters and its references to Breaking Bad. This is a must watch for anyone who has watched the original series. It delivers a perfect balance of family drama and humor. Viewers are sure to love the witty wordsmith criminal lawyer that is Saul Goodman. Catch Season 5 on April 4th before the sixth and final season hits AMC and AMC+ April 18th.


The Witcher

The Witcher is a Netflix original based on the popular series of novels and video game franchise of the same name. Taking place before the events of the video game franchise, it follows Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill), a mutant that hunts down monsters for coin and survival. His destiny is tied to a young princess with mysterious powers with a destiny that awaits to be fulfilled. The series nicely fills the gap left behind by Game of Thrones. The incredible worldbuilding on display here is beautiful, epic, and well made. This is definitely one of the few good adaptations out there. For any fantasy fans, it’s a must watch.


Arcane

Now this is for the fans of animation. Arcane is a Netflix original animated series based on the characters of League Of Legends video game franchise. It’s not only very beautiful and stylish but also well made. Even if someone hasn’t played the video game or doesn’t like it, it doesn’t matter. Its first season follows two sisters named Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell). Meanwhile, they found themselves in the middle of another war brewing between the underground and Piltover for the independence of the Nation of Zaun. Arguably one of the best animated shows in the last decade, it came as a nice surprise to many. Everything about this series is perfect and its second season is likely to be released next year. It’s definitely worth checking out.
