This weeks episode of Reboot delivers the usual charm, wit and offensive humor that viewers have grown accustomed to. Although this episode may not dive into any poignant themes like last week’s episode, this one was still a lot of fun.

The main plot focuses on how Gordon, chooses to ignore actors when they come to him with an issue, most notably Reed. This leads Hannah to step up and call him out on it, which causes her to ask both Reed and her father, Gordon for a drink and a meal. Though when they arrive, they realize Hannah has tricked them and won’t be joining them. Meanwhile Hannah decides to help Zack with a personal issue which she soon regrets.

Over at the restaurant Gordon and Reed at first are quite aggressive with one another, but after they get that out of their system they begin complementing each other and having a great time. This is where the episode is at its most fun, Reiser and Key are exceptional comedic actors in their own right, but throwing them together was a genius move. The two exchange quips and jokes seamlessly, which coming from any other actor may be be as uproarious, but with Key’s phenomenal comedic timing and Reiser’s prowess as an actor, we are left with many brilliant scenes.

The B-plot may not be as humorous as the main plot, but it gives Knoxville a great chance to shine. Bree calls Clay saying she is lost in the woods after partying and doing ‘shrooms with some of her “friends” to which Clay decides to go find her and help her, even though he is already late somewhere. Once Clay finds Bree, he has some difficulty getting her in the truck as she keeps running away. When he finally gets Bree in the truck, Clay takes her to a mysterious cabin, and tells her to wait in the car. Obviously, she doesn’t, and finds Clay inside taking part in an AA meeting, to which Bree finds cute and charming as she is very happy for her friend. But when invited in, Bree hilariously exclaims that she is on ‘shrooms.

Knoxville is great in this episode and ditches his comedic chops, for a more dramatic and emotional turn, which we have to give praise for. This episode gave Clay’s character depth and nuance to make us relate and adore his character so much more.

Week after week, Reboot keeps proving that its a comedy series that is not to be missed, and this week is no different. Sure, the episode may not have dealt with poignant issues as delicate as last week, but is still touches Clay’s alcohol and drug abuse. Despite this, this episode is perhaps its funniest yet, allowing each character a chance to grow. Whether it’s Gordon now caring for others or Hannah now regretting being nice to her co workers, the growth in this episode exceptional and only gets viewers excited and curious to see where these characters go from here.
