Delivering another tension filled episode, Andor keeps proving why fans should stick around for this Star Wars Disney+ series. After two episodes building up the heist, fans are finally treated to the nail biting robbery and it does not disappoint. The Eye certainly isn’t the most action-packed episode in the series but the undeniable tension and suspense filled throughout make it one of the best episodes thus far.

Before the heist commences, viewers witness another brilliant scene within the Empire, as Commandant Beehaz (Stanley Townsend) lays out some evil power tactics, giving audiences another taste at something that Andor does best, showing audiences the true evil of The Galactic Empire. With this, the Commandant attempts to keep the locals happy enough to be able to control them on the night of Aldhani’s annual solstice, or as the locals refer to it as “The Eye”.

As the heist commences, as Andor, Skeen, Nemik and Taramyn (Gershwyn Eustache Jr) blend in dressed as imperial troopers. While Vel and Cinta (Sule Rimi) swim under the lake to jam the bases comms. Meanwhile Lieutenant Gorn (Sule Rimi) goes undercover to make sure the plan goes as it should from the inside. Despite some issues, the rebels access the vault with ease at least until communications over their secret channel are intercepted, leading to an action-packed shoot out soon begins. With their covers blown, they must fight their way out to escape the planet with the money and their lives.

The Eye is filled to brim with heart-pounding tension. As viewers have spent time with these characters planning and now conducting the heist, the thought of them failing or getting caught is sure to get the blood pumping. Their isn’t a single instance where the tension and suspense isn’t turned to the max.

The heist was a definite blow to the Empire, giving leverage to the rebel army but it similarly took a toll on Andor and those involved in the heist. As a result, Andor attempts to escape the fight against the Empire. That being said, hopefully Nemik’s manifesto is enough to make him stay and fight. The success of the heist rocks the entire galaxy, leading the Empire to immediately investigate. The Senate also receives the news halting Mon Mothra’s proposition for a better galaxy.

After two weeks of slow build up to, The Eye delivers a thrilling, tense and satisfying heist, which is among the best moments in any Star Wars Disney+ series.

In the end, The Eye brings tension, action and enhances the story of the Rebel Alliance in new and exciting ways. Each week, Andor proves why it is a must watch for any Star Wars fan and this week is no different.
