Tales of the Jedi delivers engaging stories, sensational action, and exciting moments that will leave Star Wars fans beyond satisfied.

Dave Filoni is back with another animated Star Wars series that manages to set itself among some of the best animated Star Wars series ever. Although Tales of the Jedi starts off slow, the series increasingly gets more exciting as it goes on and will no doubt leave Star Wars fans highly satisfied.

Tales of the Jedi is an anthology series featuring shorts telling intriguing stories about fan favorite Jedi focusing on Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Eckstein) across various points in her life and Count Dooku before he is corrupted by the dark side. The series starts slow with what was the best episode to kick the series off with but that being said, it was also the weakest and the slowest. From there, each successive episode gets increasingly better, delivering many exciting moments that are sure to appeal to biggest Star Wars fans.

Ahsoka’s tales are entertaining and engaging but Tales of the Jedi truly shines when it focuses on Dooku as he travels down a path towards the dark side. He is easily the most interesting he has ever been here as the series delivers many moments that will make viewers care for him and empathize with him as he turned to the Dark Side. Whilst primarily focusing on Ahsoka and Dooku, many other fan favorites, from recognizable faces to lesser-known characters that will be instantly recognized by the most diehard Star Wars fans, also make appearances. Either way, fans will undoubtedly find themselves very happy. Meanwhile, the cast is sensational with many of the cast from The Clone Wars reprising their respective roles.

Tales of the Jedi is very short thus truly putting the “Tales” into Tales of the Jedi. Viewers should whizz through the series’ six short episodes clocking in at just over 80 minutes, offering fans a special treat.

While the action may be few and far between, it is nonetheless exceptional and rival that of all the Star Wars animated series so far with the few moments here being exciting, well shot, brilliantly choreographed and accompanied by an immersive score. Meanwhile, the visuals are jaw-dropping, offering more of the gorgeous animation in the vein of The Clone Wars. Though certain character models are a little janky, Tales of the Jedi is for the most part another beautifully animated Star Wars series.

Fans of The Clone Wars will get the most out of this series as characters, planets and moments relate very much to that series rather than anything of the previous live action properties but the prequels still get some love here.

At the end of the day, Tales of the Jedi is a delightful treat that should be on every fan’s radar. Delivering engaging stories, sensational action, and exciting moments, the series will leave Star Wars fans beyond satisfied. Despite being held back by a slow start, Tales of the Jedi firmly cements itself as one of, if not, the best animated Star Wars series.
