THE HAWK LANDS ON NETFLIX JULY 16
Today, Netflix released the official trailer, key art and new images for upcoming comedy series THE HAWK starring Will Ferrell as golf legend Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins and an all-star cast including Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster and Luke Wilson.
Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins has been making his rounds – from the World Golf Hall of Fame in Pinehurst, NC to The Big Apple, making waves in the Hamptons to the Travelers Championship in Connecticut where he not only surprised fans but also stopped to talk shop with fellow golf superstars Rickie Fowler, Harris English, and Tony Finau.
Now, after a scorching first leg of the tour, Lonnie heads to the back nine and his Netflix series THE HAWK climbs the scoreboard on July 16th.
ABOUT THE HAWK
Logline: Lonnie Hawkins, (Will Ferrell) 2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet. His ex-wife and his son Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through. But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.
