So now, I have just finished reviewing all of Sean Connery’s Bond films and all of Roger Moore’s Bond films but some of you may be wondering who was better (because I’m sure you weren’t wondering if George Lazenby was the best)?
In order to try to solve this, we will compare the two based on the average of the reviews of their films. It isn’t the most accurate comparison since Connery only made 6 films compared to Moore’s 7 but here we go anyway:
Connery (Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds are Forever): 7.33/10
Moore (Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View to a Kill): 7.36/10
Okay, so Moore did better but not by much. I personally do not favor one over the other but I will admit that it did not start off that way as I started off more familiar with Connery’s Bond. These results seem to match my current opinion that you cannot go wrong with either of them.
There are still 3 more Bonds that I have not yet seen (Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig) so expect more of these comparisons in the future.
