2020 is officially belonging to the women of the DC Universe. Birds of Prey is going to certainly pack a punch.
Right off the bat, just a terrible song choice to pair with this second Birds of Prey trailer. Why movies decide to do this? It almost takes you out of the trailer, it’s a big risk, if the song pairing isn’t in sync with the footage it can make for a disaster. Luckily, it’s just the song that is the bad thing going on here.
Zany, wacky, insane, all of these words can be used to describe Harley Quinn. The same can be said for this trailer. She’s on her own, but not for long. Harley as a ton of people after her and more importantly that want to kill her. So it’s only natural for her to migrate towards others of the same nature. This is where we are going to meet the birds of prey, fully on display here in the trailer. We finally see the iconic mask of Black Mask (Ewan McGregor) and a ton of other goodies.
The brightness, the color scheme, they both pair really well with the material being presented and even the action sequences look unique in their own regard. It’s going to be a violent film, and it was the only route to go when exploring Harley Quinn further. The trailer is a lot of fun, the girls all seem to have terrific chemistry and McGregor seems like another great DC villain. It’s only a month away, but Birds of Prey looks to be well-received and be a box-office success.
