The Space Between Us

Since there aren’t enough movies about space, here’s another one. Surprisingly enough, this is technically a movie about space but it isn’t the whole story. In this one, a young man named Gardner (Asa Butterfield) raised by scientists on Mars returns to Earth to find his father. So in other words, a fish-out-of-water story. We’ve seen movies about aliens coming to earth and learning how to be human but has there ever been a human trying to learn how to be human? To me this could go either way. But having Gary Oldman and a 19 year old Butterfield playing a 16 year old. The Space Between Us releases August 19th, 2016.

Careful What You Wish For

Some of you may only need to look at the thumbnail in the trailer below to be interested (Am I right ladies?) in this one but for those who are not yet convinced, I probably won’t convince you but I’ll keep talking anyway. You’ve seen this movies hundreds of times where a good looking guy, in this case Nick Jonas, gets into an affair and things quickly get out of hand. This would definitely be more suited for Lifetime or something like that as I was getting some strong TV-movie vibes. The only thing I’m wondering is how long they’ll get away with it. Careful What You Wish For releases June 10th, 2016.

Morgan

Speaking of things I’ve seen before, here’s Morgan. This one is about a corporate risk-management consultant who has to decide and determine whether or not to terminate an artificial being’s life that was made in a laboratory environment. Do you get it yet? I’m getting a lot of Ex Machina vibes from it mainly because of the similar plot with the only difference being a female evaluator (Kate Mara) instead of a male one. That’s okay too because it’s a great movie. The whole mystery about this one is what exactly is Morgan and is he/she/it dangerous? My guess is probably yes because if it is then there probably wouldn’t have made a movie about it. Morgan releases September 2nd, 2016
