Synopsis: An infiltration turns rescue mission as members of the group dig deeper into an underground community. (TV Guide)

Bring on the next group of crazies as the spray painter people (they need an actual name) are finally revealed and they got some ideas that will surely lead to bad things for our main characters. Will they be any different?

The Holding began with a new mystery character prophecizing about the world and how it got to where it was who was later revealed to be a man named Teddy (John Glover). This seems to be the way of the spraypainters as it showed a new group and their more advanced way of life created by Teddy. They were expecting a new group to their underground home which they called “The Holding”. Alicia, Wes, Althea, and Luciana soon showed up. The first step upon their arrival was to be interviewed by a man named Riley (Nick Stahl) about who they were and where they came from for Teddy. It was all part of some sort of test./

These new people were preparing before closing their doors to the outside permanently. This way of life was that of the future. The goal was to figure out all they could about these people and about what happened at Tank Town while trying to gain the favor of Teddy before getting out of there but Wes’ presumed-dead brother Derek (Chinaza Uche) was part of this new group. Derek found meaning after getting saved. Meanwhile, Wes’ judgement was clouded by his reuniting with his brother but evidence was found that suggested that this new group may have had more sinister intentions though not necessarily that Derek was involved.

Upon confronting his brother, Derek claimed that Wes did not understand. They were supposedly clearing out those following the old ways up above to make way for what they were getting ready for down below. Nevertheless, Wes convinced Derek to leave (though Alicia didn’t trust him) but they were stopped before getting too far. All they wanted was Morgan and the location of his new settlement and were willing to torture to get what they wanted. Derek was never on their side and got taken out by a walker for his trouble after a struggle against Wes.

From there, it was all about getting through a field of embalmed walkers with their jaws wired shut (Althea recognized one from her girlfriend’s group). The latter would not be the case for very long but the flammable embalming fluid proved useful to facilitate their escape though Alicia stayed behind. Whether or not she survived was unclear. Conferring with Morgan, it was all about what to do next and save Alicia. She of course survived as the other group had plans for her as a means of fertilizing their soil which was what the embalmed walkers were for. Getting the upper hand on her captor, Alicia was finally faced with Teddy who simply wanted to save her but she was definitely not interested in whatever he was selling.

However, Alicia was exactly the kind of person that Teddy was looking for so that can only mean bad news for her.
