The last episode ended with Pamela being deposed so it only makes sense that this latest episode picks up from there. The episode essentially was a backstory episode told through the lens of the gender discrimination of the time as she recounted how she got her big break which led her to Playboy and her relationship and subsequent marriage to Tommy. Based on her past actions the defendant’s lawyer were basically trying to put Pamela on the spot and set her up as a dumb whore who was in it for the money, going as far as implying that she was in it for herself and responsible for the leak of the sex tape as a means to cash in and get revenge on the so called people who slighted her.

What started off as charming and wholesome got uncomfortable very fast as she got discovered on the jumbotron of a CFL game in 1989 and became a model before eventually taking charge of her own life by moving to California and appearing in Playboy and catching the eye of Hugh Heffner (Mike Seely) who believed her to be a once in a generation talent. From there, it was all about the circumstances that led to the infamous sex tape for which she was grilled for as she was forced to watch clips of it while her supposed recklessness over the course of the tape was questioned.

After all of that, Pamela has clearly had enough and was no longer willing to answer any questions, standing up for herself once again in what was a powerful moment. Despite that, she still had the time to apologize to the cleaning lady tasked to clean up after the meeting.

In the end, this may have been a short episode though it was still a showcase for Lily James as Pamela Anderson who got to show off her range in what was a strong character arc. Showing vulnerability and strength, this was a roller coaster for her but she handled that challenge admirably. Suffice it to say that those willing for her big moment, got it here.

That being said, with now two episode left, there are still a lot of moving parts to reconcile.
