This week’s episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law takes a little bit of a magical detour, though a fun one, before perhaps getting to what is really going on. But any excuse to have more Wong and who is sure to be the MVP of the season is always a good thing.

Donny Blaze (Rhys Coiro) is a failed Kamar-Taj sorcerer for whom has a history with Wong who kicked him out. Now, he was moonlighting as a magician. Using sorcery in his shows did not go well, especially when a woman named Madisynn was sent through a portal to another dimension before eventually finding her way to Wong in Kamar-Taj where she interrupted his TV bingeing. From there, Wong and Madisynn became friendship goals which was so cute to see. Wong asked for Walters’ help to put an end to it but court was unsuccessful. Blaze wouldn’t learn until a failed spell prompted Wong and Walters to clean up his mess of goblins and various other demons after he opened up a portal to another realm.

Walters’ father wanted to look out for her following her attack was definitely cute but she could take care of herself. Going the next level, she put herself out on the dating scene with a profile on a dating site but again, it’s hard to be seen as Jennifer Walters when you’re also the She-Hulk as men only seemed to be interested in the latter.

In the end, Titania’s master plan appeared to be to sue Walters for trademark infringement over her use of the name She-Hulk which could go either way.

Expect another mid-credits scene of more Wong and Madisynn friendship goals. Those two can arguably sustain their own series.
