Star Trek Beyond

If you would like to read and past related posts, click here. We’re not done with Star Trek Beyond posts quite yet. This one is the final trailer since the movie is releasing on Friday. It isn’t that long of a trailer, clocking in at just over one minute, but if some of you haven’t seen any of the other trailers, this one would be perfect as it pretty much shows bits of all the other trailers in rapid succession. This just makes me more excited for the movie. Since they just announced a fourth movie, this one will be a little anticlimactic but it wasn’t like anything big was going to happen anyway. I’ll have a review of this on Friday.

Skiptrace

It’s definitely nice to see Jackie Chan in a movie again and yes I know he voiced Monkey in Kung Fu Panda 3. Unfortunately there isn’t anything particularly new or original here. I can probably count with 2 hands the number of movies which this trailer make me think of. Chan’s character Bennie Chan is a Hong Kong detective who is paired with a rather obnoxious American named Connor Watts (Johnny Knoxville). They must come together to battle a notorious Chinese criminal. Stop me if you’ve heard any of this before. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing since this is what Chan does best but I guess he can’t do much else at this point. Skiptrace releases September 2nd, 2016.

The Girl on the Train

If you would like to read my thoughts on the first trailer, click here. That was why this is on my list of most anticipated movies of 2016. What originally struck me was how intense this was. That’s what I like about thrillers, or at least the good ones. I like to be on the edge of my seat and this one looks to do the same. I haven’t read the book in which this is based so I can’t really tell where this one is going which good trailers do. With a little while to go until the release date, let’s hope future trailers continue that trend. At this point I kind of want to read the book. The Girl on the Train releases October 7th, 2016.
