The American Film Institute has announced their list of the movies of the year. It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise with movies both big and small and should give us a decent indication of the contenders for Best Picture come Oscar time. Last year, AFI selected seven of the eventual nine Oscar Best Picture nominees (including Best Animated Feature winner Zootopia) including eventual winner Moonlight.
