American Horror Story: Roanoke – Chapter 8 Review

It’s one thing to see people constantly tormented by monsters and the paranormal, but to show an hour of human-on-human torture is a bit much. Chapter 8 of American Horror Story: Roanoke centered completely on the cannibalistic Polk family, splitting its time between their unnecessary family history and gruesome torture scenes. Last week’s brief time spent on the Polk clan was by far enough, an entire episode was just lazy.

American Horror Story: Roanoke – Chapter 7 Review

When they told us the second section of American Horror Story: Roanoke would see the deaths of everybody but one, I got excited. Chapter 7, however, was a big surprise because the bloodshed started right away a never let up, leaving me to wonder if they were going to kill everyone this episode. They didn’t, but they sure did try.

American Horror Story: Roanoke – Chapter 5 Review

Chapter 5 of American Horror Story: Roanoke felt like a finale. It felt like the end, to what I’m now realizing, has been a long and drawn-out story. Throughout this season I have shown my excitement for this season and their rendition of the Roanoke story. I have praised its mix of classic AHS and historical storytelling, but now I am frustrated.  Its time for something new and I think we’re finally getting that.
