During the Cold War, U.S. pilot Francis Gary Powers (Austin Stowell) is captured by the Soviet Union after his U-2 spy plane gets shot down. Sentenced to 10 years in prison, Powers’ only hope is New York lawyer James Donovan (Tom Hanks) who is recruited by the CIA to negotiate his release.
