There comes a point when a show tries to be too mysteries and too suspenseful that it ends up becoming painful to watch. The Westworld finale , and the first season in general , was just that.

We are now a week away from the finale of Westworld and chapter 9 did all it could to set us up for something great. This week gave us several reveals that have been brewing for weeks and now it feels like we are starting new, not knowing what to expect.
From the start, Westworld has been a strong show because of its characters. People like Delores, Maeve, the Man in Black, and Bernard are all there to generate suspense and keep the story moving. As the show has progressed, however, it seems their immediate importance has dwindled. Westworld is a suspense thriller that relies on a certain amount mystery to keep the audience engaged and coming back for more.
This is it, Chapter 7 of Westworld is the episode that will catapult the series to a whole new level. The show has been enjoyable so far but I wouldn’t have put it on the same level as some of HBO’s best because it has lacked the consistency and turmoil so many of the network’s shows have. This all changed this week, though.
Westworld finally decided it was tired or dragging us down the same repetitive path it had been and finally start to make some major strides. Episode 6 was exactly what we needed and it now feels like the show is entering a whole new realm.
