One World, One People was an exciting and action-packed albeit slightly rushed season finale that wasn't without its moments or its emotion.

We’ve finally reached the end of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier assuming there’s no second season. Perhaps a little too ambitious with so many characters, themes, and storylines over the course of just 6 episodes, it’s impossible that this last episode won’t feel rushed for some viewers and that argument is definitely a valid one. It could be said that the season finds the easy way out on multiple occasions in order to resolve its many character and story arcs which does minimize certain things and temper others if not slightly but that being said, it wasn’t without its moments, including one that everyone probably saw coming. Nevertheless, it was still great to see while inevitably setting up what is to come in the MCU. Meanwhile. keep watching as the episode features a mid-credits scene that will do some more setting up. Wherever all of this will go remains to be seen.

The episode picked up where the last left off in New York City as Karli and the flagsmashers interrupted an important GRC vote. There was chaos inside and out as their plan was to get all the members out in order to kidnap them to do their own negotiating. Sam was doing his thing with his new Captain America/Falcon outfit while Sharon joined Bucky. Sam got to show off his new suit, seemingly doing most of the work. Karli tried to reason with Bucky but he’s been there and done that and knew it didn’t work, The action then was by ground and by air (you can probably guess who was where) as the characters left the GRC building. There were cracks forming within the flagsmashers as it seemed that not all of them were as willing to die for the cause.

The public display of Sam as a Black Captain America caused some initial confusion and also cheering. Meanwhile, Walker and his garb joined the fight, using that anger for good. The choreography and camerawork were both top notch here. The biggest moment here was Sam saving a truck of GRC members from going over a bridge as some cringey dialog declared him as Captain America over the Black Falcon. The action then went to the tunnel system underneath that left Karli reeling and where Sam, Bucky, and Walker split up. However, Sharon was the one who got to Karli first. She’s the Power Broker after all and if there was still any doubt, their interaction confirmed it (she wanted revenge against the country that had hurt her). Batroc tried to take advantage of that fact but only got shot for his trouble and Sharon got shot as well.

Sam joined that fight but didn’t want to fight Karli. As she ended up having Sam at gunpoint, Sharon shot Karli to seemingly eliminate all the loose ends. Meanwhile, Bucky and Walker caught up to the other fleeing flasgsmashers and got them arrested thought their transport to the raft got blew up by a car bomb (so there are still forces at play). Flying Karli to the authorities, Sam made a passionate speech to humanize Karli and the flasgsmashers and cement his new position as Captain America as all the other characters watched as it was broadcast all over the news and for the most part, it worked (especially the latter). In the end, Sam’s intention was still to get Sharon a pardon. Zemo, who was imprisoned in the raft, just smiled at the news.

Val made her obligatory cameo to set up Walker as US Agent. Meanwhile, Bucky finally made amends with those he hurt as the Winter Soldier while Sam made one last visit to Bradley, who was in a better mood, while paying it forward by showing him a statue of him in the Captain America museum thus preserving his history and the sacrifice he made for his country.

The episode ended with a party in Louisiana until the aforementioned mid-credits scene saw Sharon having devious intentions now that she got her pardon and was reinstated as a CIA agent.

Based on how this episode ended, there could very well be a Season 2 but nonetheless, it will be interesting to see where Sam, Bucky, Sharon, Val, and Walker go from here and it’s obvious that Zemo isn’t going away either.
