For those who are unaware, Midnight Special is about a father and son who go on the run after the dad learns that his son has special powers. The first trailer looked interesting and the film has a great cast featuring Joel Edgerton, Adam Driver, Kirsten Dunst, and Michael Shannon. We don’t often get to see footage from a movie until it is released but b-roll footage of Midnight Special was just released giving us the best indication of what to expect in the final movie. If you don’t know what b-roll footage is, it is supplemental or alternate footage intercut with the main shot. If you’re interested and my warning hasn’t stopped you yet, I’ve included two 5 minute clips of b-roll footage of the movie. Midnight Special releases March 18th, 2016.
