When you thought they may have been done with the world of Harry Potter, here comes Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This movie is based on another book of the same name by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. There is magic and wizardry here but that is the only thing I can see that connects it to the Harry Potter universe. This film takes place in New York where Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) arrives with a briefcase full of magical beasts and monsters (it is in the Harry Potter universe after all). Soon after, a few of the beast within manage to escape and it is now up to him, possible other wizards, and a council of some sort to save the day. Can you tell that I haven’t read the book? I have not read all of the Harry Potter books or seen all of the movies but I still like the series enough. Other stars in this film include Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, and Jon Voight. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them releases November 18th, 2016.
