This is a big one. You take Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, and Steven Spielberg and you get a surefire award contender. This movie couldn’t have come at a better time with today’s political climate as Streep and Hanks play a publisher and editor attempting to take on the government and expose a long-running cover-up. The pieces are definitely there with a gripping story and dynamite performances by Streep and Hanks as well as its impressive supporting cast with too many great names to mention. I didn’t think we’d even get it this year but we won’t have that long to wait as The Post will be released December 22nd, 2017.
