Based on the title of Porno, it is perhaps easy to have preconceived notions but it’s not what you think though at the same time, it’s probably not that far off either. This film certainly won’t be for everyone, however, fans of retro horror films should find plenty to enjoy here. The film’s story is hard to describe without giving too much away as it is definitely an experience. This was probably be one of the most f-ed up (pun intended) films in recent memory. The story followed five teens who work at a local movie theatre in a small Christian town would find themselves as targets of an evil sex demon.

To truly enjoy the film, one must turn their brains off and strap themselves in since it’s going to be a bumpy ride as some truly wild and disturbing stuff is going to happen. On paper, everything about this film is ridiculous and incredibly silly, however, it somehow still works. The characters are all a bunch of naive teens that would act like teens and whose overly Christian nature only accentuated this. They were hilarious to watch while navigating all the chaos around them though it would admittedly be too much at times.

The acting was great across the board and was as one would expect in a film like this. Each were compelling to watch but it was ultimately their chemistry that made the film as fun as it was. However, it would be Tann who would give the best and most memorable performance as heavy metal Jeff.

Overall, Porno has to be, no pun intended, the most f-ed up movie in recent memory. It’s incredibly disturbing, ridiculously over-the-top, hilarious, but most importantly a blast to watch. While it may not all work, retro horror fans should find plenty to enjoy.

Score: 8/10
