Synopsis: Cassie and Jenny race against the clock to prove Legarski is guilty Ronald succumbs to emotion and makes an unthinkable decision. (IMDb)
*Spoiler Alert*
In a series that likes to play off the cuff, anything is possible so continuing down a ridiculous and often questionable path seems to be increasingly common for its storytelling. In this instalment, the awakening of Legarski causes people to want answers except the issue is that he has severe amnesia and does not remember anything.
In his ongoing amnesiac episode, he slowly learns more and more about his life he has forgotten thanks to his wife Merilee sticking by his side. It is odd that she would stick by him after being found as a murderer, kidnapper and sex trafficker, but she needs to stick around for at least this episode to give him someone in his corner to go through his remembering of the situation.
While this is going on, Cassie and Jenny are on the trail of Ronald. Their partnership is growing finally after the first half of the season putting them at ends with one another. The banter is there, and they obviously have a history before Cody, but its good to finally see the other side of the initial conflict.
Their investigation takes them to Grace, where they check in on her after the kidnapping. She not only has to relive trying to escape (and taking arrows to the leg), but also identify the missing dead body and then Lergarski himself. It manages to show the side of PTSD afterward and how that affects different people from different perspectives so hopefully this continues as an underlying subplot for the remainder of the season.
With Ronald knowing his time is limited, he dyes his hair and then skips town stays around to flirt with Merilee. He is obviously using her to gain access to Legarski’s house to remove any evidence pinning him to the situation. However, while he does this, Cassie and Jenny have already learned his identity and are tracking him. It is only a matter of time until Ronald is caught, but he might as well take some victims along the way starting with his mother. Poor Helen gets her neck snapped after teasing Ronald for the last time. How this series manages to both be predictable and yet mysterious at the same time is the most perplexing question of all.
